I don't see any difference going from my Conroe E6600 to my Kentsfield Q6600? Any suggestions? Same clock speeds of 3.2Ghz and WinXP and HD-Rendering

Plus...I'm under the understanding is that software needs to be written to actually utilise quad core capabilities.... unlike the duo core.

I have a quad, and frankly, no big deal. I gave up on that a long time ago, long as I get a video, I am happy.

I didn't see any difference after I installed my Q6600. I'm not saying there isn't any because I didn't do any testing. There is no noticeable difference.

There is not much written for quad core at the moment...according to the Sept issue of PC User (Aust), which would have been written in August 07

I do have dual video cards, and that made a differnence. But, the cards are "tuned" somewhat to the motherboard.
