NOTE - I don't know anything about that DLL...

All of my crashes have been caused by "bad" video files... It can be a hard problem to diagnose, because a (slightly) corrupt file can play-back OK, but cause trouble when you try to edit or convert it. The more compressed formats seem to be the most trouble-prone. AVI/DV at 13GB per hour is fairly trouble-free.

What format are your video files, and where did they come from?

You have given us no information about your system, the properties of the original video and project, and not even what version of Video Studio you are using, so it is virtually impossible to suggest a solution. However, if you have VS11, then a lot of problems seem to be caused by the animation fade-in and fade-out of the menu. I have experienced that problem myself as the animation buttons are enabled by default. However, like Doug, I have never seen your particular error before.

However, if your fade-in/out buttons are enable, disable them and try it again.
