Are there any belgian user's of MSP down here ?

Post by Belgian Videast »

Hello to all,

Reading the manual and the help files is a cumbersome job, and it leaves you without the valuable tips and tricks one needs to have a really good and efficient use of MSP.

So the question is : aren't there, in Belgium, any user groups or communities where one could get trained and advised on MSP ?

Be reading you.

Why would you need the Belgian user's?
This forum has a lot of very experienced people.
And you could buy the MSP book Getting Results from Charlie Hills.

Hi Jackey

I do work in Belgium from time to time - does that qualify?

Seriously, I've been using MSP8 for a couple of years but only bought the 'Getting Results' book just Friday: it is BRILLIANT (and only 8 or 9 euros!) and I wish I'd have bought when I downloaded MSP. It's stuffed full of tips 'n' tricks and gives really easy to follow tutorials for beginners (with all the needed material) and if you're further along than beginner, it's layout means it is easy to find guidance on whatever question you may have.

If your question is really whether there's a Vlaams or Francais version of this Forum - that I don't know, but perhaps there's a Yahoo group. However, Erik is also right on the forum here. There are many experienced people here (both technical and artistically) who really do their best to help you out of a technical hole or give advice on an effect, etc (or point to where you can find it), regardless of nationality. The important thing is try to solve the problem first and give as much info on your system and issue when posting on the forum. T

he General Information forum here is also well worth a visit and some of Steve's (SJJ805) tutorials are very helpful. I've also found a couple of useful tutorials on You Tube as well.

I hope this helps.
Thanks & regards.

Hello Gra, hello IronS,

Both thank for your reply, i'll give the Getting Results from Charlie Hills a try.

What I meant is that I'm looking for some sort of a club where one can actually learn to shoot properly, control light, sound, etc and also do the editing, mounting, authoring, etc.

Be reading you and best regards

Hi Jacky
I don't know of any clubs off hand, but I've seen ads on the Brussels' trams for video courses, which could be a good starting point. Also you could try Googling something like 'Video Makers Club'. If I do that here in the UK, I have a whole list of clubs pop up.

Hope this helps.
Thanks & regards.
