MF3 imports captured video but stops any processing after

Post by JWG308 »

Having replaced my original DVD Express capture device after 2 years service with the latest DVD Xpress DX2 and having processed 6 vhs conversions, the DVD Xpress DX2 unit suddenly gave an error code: "BGuilding Direct show Graph, Create Filter. Ulead MPEG Muxer, Error Code: 0x80040154, class not registered".......ADs Tech Support quickly provided a solution to the problem by advising to update to the latest version of CapWiz and the steps to replace it. Great it now captured video and when I went to use my old Ulead MF3 with the recent captured video, it will only load the captured video but will not process it any further by giving an error report: Error Signature Appname DVDMF.exe App Ver 3.0.0.3 Modname: UVMPEG2.dll Mod Ver 3.0.0.0 Offset 00020395. I am totally stymied with the Ulead Video 9 SE that came with DVD Xpress DX2 since it lacks the simplicity of MF3 plus it's processing time from import to output (burn disc or save to file) is at least 4 to 5 times longer than MF 3. How do I get MF 3 to work again with my replaced hardware???????

What format are you capturing to?

It sounds like you you might be using a different format with the new capture hardware/software... Perhaps a format that MF3 can't handle. (It could be either the audio or video format causing the incompatibility.)

For example, people who make DVDs from DivX files often complain about horrendous render-times. If you capture to DVD compatible MPEG-2, and if you don't convert or re-render it, the process should go quickly.

Just to clarify, it's not directly the hardware. You are using CapWiz to interface with the hardware (which is the right thing to do). It's the resulting video file that seems to be incompatible with MF3.
