Unspecified Error

I tried burning a DVD with a few videos and everything looks all right. I go to burn the cd then it says Unspecified Error. It does not give me an error code or anything. I tried installing the patch and says it cannot detect the product on my computer. Right now I'm doing a trial version. Any help would be appreciated.
