No audio

I have an MP3 tune which plays fine in Media Player but when inserted into VS10 there is no sound,

Any suggestions please.

Yep, convert it to WAV. There's numerous converters available on the internet, just google for MP3 to Wav converters, or look in the Tutorials section of this Web board, under the free stuff for Ulead products..

MP3s may play fine in other "players", but you start having problems when you try using them in video applications. If you understand what exactly an MP3 file is, you would know that they are basically the audio portion of an MPEG-2 video file, with the video stripped away. So video editors tend to look for the video in an MP3 file, and start choking when they can not find it...

Thanks I've converted it and it now plays in VS but all my other MP3's play ok in VS this is the first time one hasn't.

VS does not seem to like certain mp3 codecs, in particular the LameMP3 one. Your other mp3s my have been encoded with another program which uses a different codec or properties that VS can 'see'.
