Files-swf
What is a .swf file for and how does it integrate with other files? I am bringing files forward from v6, v7, v8, v9 and v10 fpr potential use in v11+. I am not sure if I should bring them into v11+ or just save them in a seperate single folder (like I have done with jpeg's, avi's, etc.) for possible use in the future.

They are (Adobe) Macromedia Flash files and are these days a standard form of fairly highly compressed video. In the past, they were mainly used for titles or special effects, but these days are also used for normal (though usually relatively short) video clips, including those embedded in websites.

The same as you do with any of the other sample files. Mind you, the samples from all versions are pretty basic... But as I say, it is becoming an increasingly popular format in its own right, so you might want to create a central repository and keep not just the VS samples, but any others your might come across which might be useful in future projects.
