Audio Problem

I have both CD/ DVD pictureshow 3 and Video Studio 11. I am having the same problem with both. When I attach a video clip and burn the show to disc all I hear is this awful screeching sound!!! The videos are in Quick Time. My operating system is Windows XP. What can I do to fix this?

If you have access to a video conversion app (other than what's integrated in VS11) I'd recommend converting the QT files to MPEG2 and see if the problem still exists. As to what could be causing the problem, there are too many possibilities to wager a guess.
