Cannot position video after titles

Post by ruggy1 »

I know this is probably very simple, but in VS10+ I have made about 2 minutes of titles, now I want to put the 45 minutes of video after the titles. When I import the video it goes to the front of the timeline and the titles play over it rather than before it. I cannot seem to move the video clip after the titles. Can anyone please help? Thanks

Either put a color clip (usually black, but not always) before your video clip, or put your video clip in an overlay track where it won't automatically go to the beginning of the timeline.

You can in fact put anything at all behind your title text - could be a colour clip as suggested by black lab but could be a still image (either a photo or still from the video or maybe a specially designed .jpg which suits your video) could be a special piece of video which carries a logo - the choice is yours - but as you have found out it must be 'something' to hold the video in place.
