VS11+ Crashes When 'Create Disk' button is pressed.

Post by martinss »

Hello everyone,

Can anyone offer some assistance, I'm a bit lost...

After I've created either a VSP or mpg or other movie file, I go to SHARE > CREATE DISK, as I have done on the countless DVDs I've made recently.

However, this morning, when creating a new one, VS11+ falls over...no error message, just the Windows XP message that there is problem and the program has to close.

This has never happened before, I've not added anything to the computer or made any changes....please help!!!

I'm using 2gig RAM, 400GB hard drive and have never had any problems like this before.

Thanks in advance for any assistance....

Probably a corrupt source file.

Thanks for the reply.

Not sure it is a corrupt source file as the .vsp file and the mpg of that .vsp file work fine.

The disk authoring window does not even open.

Any more ideas?

Have you tried the Suggested Workflow of first going to Share>Create Video File, then using that video file in the Share>Create Disc phase?

I have the same problem: crash and crash when disk creation

I also have that problem, (I already had with previous version). Here I want to edit a DVD, just select a few scenes, then Share - create DVD or create DVD files, it works for about 30 minutes, then windows says that it have encountered some fatal error - then close the program.

The DVD is not corrupted, it is perfectly readable.

This product is not stable at all.

Just because a DVD is readable does not mean it doesn't have some errors on it. DVD players are designed to be "forgiving" when reading some of these errors, but trying to edit them can be a different story.
