Accidentally delete project
So I am new to this program and I'm ready to do some video editing. I was learning how to delete a scene and thought I was doing the right thing but instead, I went to Edit and deleted the thumbnail instead. Now I can't find the project. Can someone please help me to retrieve it? The file is still in my computer. I dont want to have to Capture it again from my camera because it's a 45 min video. Please help. Thx

You seem to be confusing two terms. First, a 'project' is not a video file. It is merely a small file like a road map which tells Video Studio what videos are contained in the project, where they are located on the computer, and what editing has been done to them. A project file will have the name you gave to it plus an extension of .vsp. If you were working on a project but have subsequently closed the program, then you can find it again by re-opening VS, then pressing File > Open Project. Your project name should be listed in the window which appears (and it should, if very recent, also be listed down towards the bottom of the drop down menu when you click on File). Anyway, I am pretty sure you have not deleted a project file as it does not involve a thumbnail in the library pane.
So you have deleted only a video file from the library pane. (If you deleted it from the timeline, then the thumbnail would still be in the library pane and you would merely drag it back into the timeline.) If you did not press the Shift key when deleting, then you would not have been asked if you wanted to delete the video itself from your computer as well. So as you know, it is still on your computer.
Normally, it will be stored in the Video Studio working folder, which you can find in the File > Preferences > General panel, down towards the bottom. To get the video back into the library pane, right click in the library pane, select 'Insert Video' and point it to where you have discovered your working folder to be.
If you have the project open in the timeline, and the video is in the timeline, but no longer in the library pane, this does not matter as its presence or absence from the library is irrelevant to the editing of a video clip in the timeline. In fact, you can Insert a Video directly into the timeline without first having inserted it in the library pane. I regularly do this, for instance...
