I'm using the trial version of VS 11+, and for some reason, when I'm in the share to disc part of the program, and looking at the DVD menu, it gives me an option to preview the menus (hit play buttong) but then nothing happens.
What is supposed to happen? Is this just an issue with the 'trial' version of the program?
Also, I've noticed that the main menu always just has one clip (button) in it, even if I've created chapters in this clip, it forces me to go to another menu to see the chapters. Is there a way just to have one menu with all of the chapters showing? Just delete the main menu?
DVD menu preview doesn't work in Trial version?

You don't tell us which operating system you are using, but if it is not Vista, then go to the Microsoft site and download the very latest update to DirectX. It will still be labelled version 9.0c. When I did this, it was dated July 2007, but I think there may be an even more recent version now.
As for the menu, the usual structure (as on a commercial DVD) is the main menu, and then a sub-menu for chapters or scenes... If you don't want the main menu, then on the second page of the burning module, where you select the Menu background, you will see the tab labelled Edit. On that page, there is an advanced button which allows you to choose on to make a menu for the chapters.

Thanks Ken! Yes, I'm using non Vista OS (XP). The newer version of DirectX solved the preview problem. And, the notes you gave helped my control whether I get a title and or Chapter menu.
One more question. Seems like the chapter points I created in the movie editor, and named there, translate over into the Share to Disc function, but loose their names. They just come across as Chapter001, Chapter002. Is there a way to name them as I locate them when editing the movie, and then have the disc recognize those names?
