PROBLEM WITH SMART SOUND TRACK

Post by ramdaspillai »

Hi, friends,

In my VS 11+ the smart sound track is added to time line but it does not play when I click to pay the sound track. I tried rendering and playing it, still no sound. however, my added music on the other sound track plays well. Is there a problem with smart sound installation.

Can anyone advise please.

Could be. In earlier versions a patch from SmartSound fixed problems.

I thought they had beat the bug -- or at least included the SmartSound update -- in VS11. At least that seems to be the case in my computers. It certainly worked fine when I had VS11+ on my Vista Home Premium machine -- one of the few things which did!! And that installation was straight from the downloaded installation files, and no patch from SmartSound or changes to QuickTime were required.

SmartSound also works just fine on the XP Pro machine where it is currently installed -- I just tested it by loading several SmartSound files from within VS11+ into the timeline and played them back individually in Clip view, then all together in Project view. No complaints.

On this computer, I did not load the SmartSound update patch after installing VS11+. However, I did install it when I was having trouble with SmartSound/QT in VS10+, so it could be that the patch had an effect on the later XP installation of VS11+. So do as Jeff suggested and try the SmartSound update: it is at least worth a try.
