Help with Video Studio 11 plus for DCRSR100 Camera

Post by brian996 »

First of all thanks for taking the time to read this, I really appreciate it.

I have an Intel Q6600 computer with 2 GB of ram 500 GB hard drive, and am using Windows Vista premium.

I bought Ulead video studio 10 plus, but it didnt seem to work well with my operating system (It kept crashing when i tried to preview the project) so I have been forced to download the 11 plus trial version and finish my 30 minute movie before the trial ends. Im using a DCRSR100 camera by the way.

When I tried burning a test DVD 15 minutes in with the 11 plus trial version, the dvd turned out bad. The quality appeared fine at first and then it just started going choppy and the DVD wouldnt even play. So I had to open the file and try burning with Video studio 10 plus (as long as I didnt preview it, it wouldnt crash). I burned a DVD and it turned out good, but the slow motion clips do not seem to come in well.

I made the clips slow motion by adjusting the percentage. When these clips appear on the DVD they are foggy and bad quality.

Is this normal for slow motion clips with this software? Also, when I render the project, it doesnt turn out well on my computer. And the audio skips a little.

Whats weird is I tried rendering a dvd (with no slow motion clips) on my slower computer that uses windows XP. It turned out great.

Im wondering am I having problems rendering/viewing slow motion clips because Ulead 11 plus is not compatible with windows vista premium? Or is there something Im doing wrong?

Maybe the trial version is defective with my computer, if I bought 11 plus would the same thing happen?

Any suggestions to make the slow motion clips appear normal?
