ZOOM OUT FILTER / TRANSITION

Post by ramdaspillai »

Dear friends,

Can any one explain this please.

1. I have 4 clips on the overlay tracks placed at the four corners of the screen. I want to zoom out one of these clips to fill into the screen and continue playing. My aim to zoom out the clip to fit exactly the preview window size (not to zoom out of the screen). Stefen Berger has an excellent Fx Bench filter (Profound thanks to Stefen for making available such excellent transitions and filters to the forum members). Is there a video filter or transition available for this in ULEAD. I have ULEAD VS 11+.

2. I have a Nokia 6630 mobile. I want to render my videos to load into this mobile. Which template/properties I should use to render. I tried with all available option in VS 11+ but the clip does not play in my mobile. Do I have to load the player software in the mobile phone. If so, can any one send me a copy (freeware).

Thanks
Trevor Andrew

hi

Other than BX Burger, which one gave this effect.?

You could try the Cropping Filter
This can crop the frame to 1/4 size then enlarge to fill screen

ZOOM OUT FILTER / TRANSITION

Hi, Mr. Trevor,

You are always the first one to answer. Thanks a lot.

I use the zoom clockwise filter in Fx bench by Burger but, that is zooming from infinity to fill the screen.

I shall try the cropping filter.

Any idea about my point 2 (rendering for Nokia mobile phone).

Thanks.

There should be an option when go to create your video for a mobile device, such as a cell phone or PSP. (PlayStation Portable), if not, try rendering as an mpeg4, then loading it on the phone.

Cell phone format is called .3gp, however, some phones can use mpg4. Just be sure and render to the screen size for a phone (I don't remember what the size is..)

I tried the croping filter. it doesn't work the way I wanted. The cropping filter doesn't zoom out the video clip.

Any one can help with the zoom out filter/transmission pls.

ZOOM OUT FILTER / TRANSITION

Post by ramdaspillai »

Hi,

I had a look at this tutorial before, but it doesn't zoom the clips. it only crops. My aim to zoom a reduced clip to the full screen.

This is available in adobe premier etc.

Thanks

ZOOM OUT FILTER / TRANSITION

Dear Ken,

I understand and appreciate your comment.
By the way, where I can get some photo frames free to download. I want to use them for my personal videos, to have frames with different display holes on it like a few squares or oval shapes in one frame and the like.

Thanks

I have just looked at our freeware page and couldn't see anything regarding masks. You might find some other stuff there of interest, though: http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... 9740#59740

While others might be able to offer other suggestions, I think you will find that people who want different masks will make them themselves. I use Ulead PhotoImpact (currently version 12) for this.

Hi Pillia

As a work-round. ( My aim to zoom a reduced clip to the full screen.)

Have a look at the ¡¥Stretch--Box¡¦ transition.

Add a colour clip first then video.
Then apply ¡¥Stretch--Box¡¦ (I used 8 seconds)
Render to Dv Avi
Using this in the overlay track apply Direction and Style.

Render this to another Dv Avi
Cut 2.5 seconds from start. This will place the start on screen.
Clip will fly to centre to fill screen.

(you may need the chrome effect to remove the background.)

Just an idea
