Exporting video file

I am a newbie to this and have cool3d production studio. I have read tutorials, but still no luck at this. I am trying to open an object in the easy palette like the moving filmstrip, customize it with some text and then export it as an avi file that I can incorporate in Videostudio 11. When I open an object and then export as an avi, it saves an avi file that cannot be opened. I also am trying to customize these with no luck.

Hi - have you tried opening it as a video background?
