h.264 codec "unable to compress the video" error

Post by benny215 »

When I use the H.264 codec it gives me an error about 8 megs into file creation "Unable to compress the video.(osErr=-8960)" I need to use this codec from now on for work. Does anyone know how to fix this? Please any help would be appreciated! All other codec's work fine except this one.

Basically what we need from you is some information regarding the source of your video files and how they got into your computer. We wil also need to know the original format of that video file for example
DV (Digital Video) DivX, MPEG2 etc. plus information regarding the files bit rates and audio formats. Please view the above link where the requested details are explained in more detail.

have you tried encoding it to a different format, then re-encoding this to h.264?

You could try exporting to DV and then using quicktime to re-encode to H.264?
