How to keep certain portions of audio??

Post by dpriest »

I have a video clip where I want to keep the very last 5-10 seconds of audio and have it sync with the video action. The rest of the audio I want to split out completely. Is this possible to do in VS 11 Plus and if so, how?

Thanks for your help in advance.

The way I would do it is as follows -
SPLIT the audio from the video clip (right click on the video clip in the timeline and select Split Audio). The audio for the video clip will be placed into the Voice track immediately below the corresponding video clip.
Now position the mouse pointer over the start of the audio and DRAG it to the left until you have removed whatever part of the audio you want to remove. The remaining part will still be synchronised with the corresponding part of the video track.
Be sure to ENABLE RIPPLE EDITING for the voice track to ensure that the audio does NOT move when you add remove other clips.
