Photo Impact and Paint Shop Pro

Post by manuelprosario »

May I suggest or request, since both Photo Impact and Paint shop Pro are owned by Corel, that the two be merged to avoid redunduncy. Get the best of both and make it competitive with Photoshop. At present it is hard to choose which is better between the two. Cost is almost the same.

Suggested new program cost could be higher but a special upgrade prize could be given to original user of both programs.

cheers

However from a marketing standpoint, if you like both of them, then Corel stands to make more money by offering them as separate products.

Thanks Ron for the analysis, I will download a 30 day trial of the new PSP X2 to see how it work vs Photo Impact.

The last version of PSP that I purchased, was (IMHO) the last real version, which was PSP9. Shortly after that, Corel gobbled up Jasc. I decided at that time it just would not be the same.

I do have some Corel products as well, but it just seems that when they get their hands on other ventures, they mess them up.
