The Installation on WinXP SP2 worked without any problems, but when i try to start photoimpact, the initial screen get already stuck and the cpu usage from iedit_.exe stuck at 50% usage (P4 with HT, so it uses 100% of one virtual core). After ~ 2-3 minutes the initial screen disappears and just the iedit_.exe remains with 50% CPU usage but nothing happens any more (waited already for 10 minutes before i killed the task).
Could it be a problem with the re-direction of application data to a server-share? \\server-name\share-name\application data....
The Patch has already been applied but it doesn't help in this case.

What exactly do you mean by that? Is the program installed on a server and you try to run it from a work station? I don't think that PI is set up to work like that. It is a single user program.root wrote:T.....

PI is on a client which is connected to a domain - and in WinXP you can redirect "Application Data", "My Documents" and "Desktop" to a server share (that in case of a workstation crash, this is not lost).
So the installation is just for a single workstation but the folder "Application Data" is instead of "c:\documents and settings\%username%\application data" on "\\servername\usershare\application data".
The Software itself is installed on c:\program files on the workstation.
EDIT: don't know why but it's working now - the first start took ~ 20-30 minutes and not it starts in 2-3 minutes.
