Multiple Titles

Post by konmanos »

This may already be solved - however is there any way to achieve multiple titles. I.E - similar to multiple overlays? I wish to have one title come up and remain on the screen and then have another title below and independently control how they transition. etc.

If you have VS10+ or 11+, then you have multiple overlay tracks, and you can make titles in each overlay track, each with its own characteristics...

Well, you can but ... You cannot put a title (with the ease of text editing that you have in a title) in an overlay track, can you?

So instead you have to create a video clip that looks like the "overlay title", save it as a clip, and re-import it as an overlay.

Or how else can you do it?

Hi konmanos

Create the first title, try fly to middle (say--4 Seconds)
Use the two TT¡¦s for manual approach

Drag to library to make copy.
Drag copy back to timeline
Change to no animation¡Xadd another title to this clip (mutiple title)¡Xanimate
Drag to library to make a copy
Drag back to timeline

Do it again, keep going, works with most animations but not all

Trevor,

If i understand your (to me - but I'm no expert) somewhat cryptic description it will create one title with various animations. I don't think that's the question.

Rather (I think), the point is: how can you create two titles where you can control the timings independently for each title.

Example:

One title should be running along a long sequence (e.g. at the bottom edge of the screen) and another title should be matched with each shorter sub-sequence along the top of the screen.

The bottom title might stay the same for, say, 3 minutes and during that time the top edge title may have changed every 30 seconds.
