Hi guys
I bought MF 6+ last week and have just authored my first project, which was made in MSP. I created the final MSP video file as MPEG 2 4:3 and opened it in MF6 with MPEG 2 4:3 project settings but after I burned the disc it plays as 16:9. I've tried a couple of different discs and tried out putting the settings as PAL DVD but it still stays stuck as 16:9. Anyone had this before or can anyone offer any advice?

I didn't notice it re-endering. My settings are:
MSP8 video file
MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 576, 25 fps
Frame-based
(MPEG-2), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 6000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 224 kbps
MF6+
MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 576, 25 fps
Lower Field First
(DVD-PAL), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 7000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 256 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)
(When I get to the burn screen there's actual an icon at the bottom also saying 4:3)
Would it be better to set both to output PAL DVD? Also, since my mesage, another irritating problem has arisen. When I playbackon the stand alone DVD player every 30/40 seconds or so the audio goes dead for a split second.
Any advice would be most welcome.

You should install this patch, the top one.

After you install this patch it's not going to fix your exact problem. Fixes MF6+ and is a nice update.
What you should try to do is put the file into the MF6+ timeline, trim it down to about 2-5 secs's. Then goto "Export Media" -> FAST EXPORT.
This will take about 2 seconds to make a small clip of the file (a sample of it's properties).
Then email me this small test clip. Every second is equal to about 1 meg so a 4 second clip=approx 4megs so this should be easy to send.
