I have captured an HD clip and rendered it to a WMV file however no matter which format I use the end result is somewhat blurred. The result is also blurred when playing back within videoStudio.(when capturing from the Sony HC1 the capture is crystal clear) I've also tried rendering the video clips which came with the product and it does the same thing. I'm sure it isn't equipment related because I'm also using another product and the rendered movie looks great in Windows Media player. Can you please give me advice on fixing this issue.
Thank you.

What is your WMV resolution & bitrate? The typical WMV file is highly compressed and rather low-quality.
Whenever you re-code a video file, you loose some quality. If you keep the original resolution and use a high bitrate, the quality loss should be minimal. I've never made a WMV file and I'm not sure how "good" a WMV can be... But, I doubt you can achieve anything approaching your high definition original...
