Can't open VideoStudio6 after installing VideoStudio11 trial

I have been using Video Studio 6 for quite a few years now, so I decided to download the Video Studio 11 trial from the website to see if I'm comfortable with it.

I installed the VS11 trial to a different location as VS6 and tried to open it. However, it gives me the windows error "Ulead VideoStudio has encountered a problem and needs to close".

So I decided to uninstall VS11 trial since I can't use it. But after uninstalling, I realised that my VS6 gives the same error "Ulead VideoStudio has encountered a problem and needs to close".

After reinstalling the VS11 trial, this error goes away for VS6 and I am able to use VS6 properly and normally. However, now that the 30-day trial period is over, my VS6 cannot open again and it gives the same error "Ulead VideoStudio has encountered a problem and needs to close".

May I know what's the problem like and what can I do to continue using VS6 again?

I'm using WinXP by the way.

I suggest Uninstalling BOTH versions of VideoStudio and then reinstalling version 6 using the guide at this link.
