missing green dots

Post by dandy »

I'm using VS10+ and had a couple of hours spare so I'm trying to copy the Star wars credits that is contain in a tutorial i've seen (takeoneflix.com), but when i bring down the star war.mpg track onto the first overlay track i don't see any green dots, just the yellow ones.

can anyone point me in the right direction. thanks

I went to the takeoneflix.com to try and determine the problem is you are experiencing but could not even find the the star war.mpg clip so the following is just a guess.

I am thinking that perhaps the loss of what you describe as the green dots could be due to Chroma Keying. Did you tick the box Apply Overlay Options (under Attributes) for the overlay clip? And if you did was the color selected for the overlay mask GREEN? If so that is the answer as the overlay mask color is the color which is rendered TRANSPARENT and won't be seen.

Neel, one of the creators of that site, often visits this forum and I'm sure will try to help. In the mean time you could try contacting him thru their site.

star wars title on TakeOneFlix.com

Post by nitin »

HI dandy...

with the star wars title,

http://takeoneflix.com/ulead-videostudi ... le-effect/

make sure you place the video on any one of the OVERLAY tracks.

Try this on VS10+ or Vs11+:

drag any video clip to overlay track 1
you should see yellow dragable squares on each end
inside each of these yellow squares (end squares only), you should see a tiny green sqaure. When you hover your mouse over this green sq. the cursur should change to an arrow head with a outlined white sq.

Let me know if this works for you...

Hope this helps
