Welcome to the forums,

First I doubt that Corel has updated the programs to include these fixes, so you might need to install them. I emphasize the might.

The Hotfix should only be installed if you have problems with AVControl SDK during installation. If you did not experience this problem then do not install the hotfix.

Update Patch 1
* Displaying incorrect aspect ratio when importing Panasonic AVCHD files.
* Error message pops up while converting video imported from AVCHD.
If you have those problems listed, then install it, if not, then do not...

Update Patch 2
* The issue with adding "Time" and "Date" info with DV-AVI video is resolved
* Enhanced performance when adding auto-subtitles to DVD+VR format content
* Enhanced performance when on-disc editing DVD-VR discs with CF detection
* The audio issue when exporting HD MOV files is resolved
* The AV sync issue when trimming DivX video is resolved
* The issue of failing to connect Sony PC-1000 DV USB drive after invoking capture DB is resolved
* Enhance .MOV file preview performance
* The issue of converting .MOV file to DVD is resolved
* The issue of saving the changes on the thumbnails of chapter menus is resolved
* An option for ¡§Create HD DVD on DVD disc¡¨ (3XDVD) is added under the drop down list
If you experience any of the above problems, install, otherwise I would not worry about installing it.

Basically if it ain't broke, don't fix it...;)

This is a really good question from trackfan, and it should be embarrassing to Corel that it is so hard for an end-user to find an answer! The "patches" should indicate within their README files what revision level they should be applied to, and what revision they bring the program to!

I too bought MF6+ in 2008, and my version number is 6.10.0194.6. I'm fairly certain that this is the absolute latest/greatest. What are others' versions here?

My version obtained just after released, is 6.10.0194.3, I do not have the HD pack, so that may be the difference in the 3 or 4 at the end. I agree Max, that Corel should have that information available. Most other software companies provide it somewhere, either in a text file with the program, or at least on their web site.

Guess I must indeed have the latest then--yes I do have the HD pack also.

Let's hope some day Corel makes it easier to ID software updates needed--I spent an awful lot of time surfing on this one...

When I use thumbnail menu for Chapters, my Preview freezes and I can't even burn my project.
I if use Text menus, instead, everything works fine.
This problem semed to be resolved, before.
I have patch 2 installed. Is it supposed to fix that problem?
Is there any newer patch?
Thanks in advance.
Pierre.
