Converting tp mpeg4 using Divx in MF5

Post by ruggy1 »

I have been away for a while, but have searched the topics before I post. I found a great tutorial by Steve (sjj805) relating to the use of Divx and VS10 to produce a Youtube template, which I have implemented. But I cannot find a way to do this in MF5. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks

It's the same method as VS.
Export -> Custom. Select AVI -> Options and change the compression in the dropdown box.
One thing though, MF installs divx 5.1 I believe and puts the divx.dll file in the MF5 directory. If you bought & installed Divx 6.xxx Pro you may have to rename or move the file Divx.dll file in the MF directory in order for MF to pickup, see & use the other version that you may have purchased & installed.
