Versions 9, 10, 11 uninstalling prev. versions,

Post by brucefl »

I just ordered vers. 11+ upgrade
I have 9 and 10 installed on the computer, and have been thinking of uninstalling both. I upgraded to 9, then 10+, and now will 11+. Though I would like to keep the the 9 & 10 templates for movie/pictures in the wizard. I am thinking with some of my problems with vs 10 closing for no apparent reason, it might be a conflict in versions.
So, figured I would upgrade again.
Should and do you think it would be beneficial to uninstall the prev. versions?
Where they are upgrades (I am assuming they won't) will there be any problems uninstalling prev. versions?
Is there an uncomplicated (easy) way of saving the templates into VS11+? (I know, wishful thinking)
Also assuming that 9 & 10 files will open no problems?
Once the prev. versions are uninstalled, what will happen when I open a prev file that has those particular templates? Or do they stay in a folder that won't be uninstalled?

Thanks Bruce

I am interested in knowing some of the same. One specific interest is the removal of v9. Have been upgrading since +-v6. Lost Operating System during the time when v9 was installed. Did a restore which put v9 as it existed back in place but could not do a reinstall of the +-v6 and the original disk cannot be found,

Bought a new full v10+ and all is well with that. What I want to do is get all of v9 off the hard drive but it does not show up in ADD/REMOVE programs probably as a result of all upgrades from +-v6 and the problem with the Operating System. Now have v11+ to install but really want to v9 to be gone.

How can I get rid if v9?
Thanks
