GIF X Plug-in - set frame rate

Post by Gra »

Hi Guys

I'm trying to animate a flag for a video project and my solution was to buy the above plug-in and load it into Photoshop. The resulting animated flag looks good.

But I have a problem. When I import it into MediaStudio and render to AVI the result is poor because the Gif frame rate is only 10 frames where my project is 25fps. I've downloaded GA 5 as I saw I can output in AVI from there but the result is not much better when I import into MSP and render out from there.

Is there a way I can alter the plug-in's frame rate? It seems that is the root of the problem.
Thanks & regards.

In GIF-X 2, click the Save... button. Then change the frame rate on the dialog box below:

Near the bottom is "Frame delay time" - this is in 1/100s of a second. So, for a frame rate of 25 frames per second, try 4.

Note that you may have to fiddle with the number of frames in the animation before it ends up looking okay...

Hope it works for you!

I've yet to get around to making videos, so I'm not a whole bunch of help for advice on those. Maybe someday!
