Movie Factory 4 Runtime module

Post by Patrick Gilroy »

I downloaded the DVD MF3 trial version and was able to create a SVCD with the run time module on board. My trial period expired and I have purchased the DVD MF4 software and reloaded by SVCD, it burns okay and everything is great except I can't figure out how to get the runtime module burned onto the CD so that it autoplays. I downloaded the DVD MF4 software so I don't have an installation CD. Can anyone tell me how to burn a autostart SVCD using DVD MF4?

Thanks,
Patrick

No Runtime Module

They do not offer the option to include a Runtime Player with your disc in MF 4.0 (so I am told).

If I can't include the runtime module on a burnt SVCD, how do I distribute my program so that it will play?

Target Audience

Who is your target audience? are you mainly looking for people to be able to play it in a set-top dvd player? or from their computer's cd-rom drive?

For set-top dvd players, be aware that some don't support SVCD's, but if the set-top does support SVCD's, it will not need the Runtime Player to play your disc.

For computer cd-rom drive, you would need to make sure they have software that will play your type of disc.

Runtime Module

George,

I have taken video of a local high school softball player. In that video we interview her, show footage of her pitching and hitting. Our taget audience is college softball coaches that might be interested in offering her a scholarship to play. We expect that they will play the SVCD's on their computers and so the runtime module is an important feature for us.

Thanks,

Patrick
