VideoStudio 9- Excessive processing time before "burn&q

Post by JWG308 »

After having to replace my old DVDExpress capture device with the latest DVDExpress DX2 device, I was introduced to the UleadVideoStudio 9 SE software package. In merely importing a successful movie capture with DVDExpress DX2 I tried to "burn" a disc with out any editing or title page addition to the import and after its processing time of something greater than 2 and a half hours, I cancelled the operation. I then reverted to my old version of Ulead's DVD Movie Factory 3SE (which I had removed before installing Video Studio 9SE) and consistent with past experience burning to file (then again as an "iso" to folder), each case took a mere 20 minutes to convert and burn a 1 hour 49 minute movie.

What could possibly be the reason why VideoStudio 9SE would require greater than two hours to take to convert something that MovieFactory took 20 minutes to do? Should I reinstall Video Studio 9SE and waste another 2 to 3 hours trying the same clip? Is this an inherent length of time to process an mpeg 2 file to a vob file? :(

Welcome neighbor!

SE versions are disabled in some way. Many times it's the ability to burn a disc. The SE versions that can burn are usually say DVD SE or something like that. So maybe that was the problem, although I think the option to burn wouldn't even have been available for you to choose.

You also need to check that 'do not convert compliant mpeg files' is ticked in the middle (Project Settings) icon in the bottom left of the burning screen...
