I've posted a similar question in the MovieFactory thread, then realized that the feature is also available in VS11.

How do you get the "Auto Subtitles" to automatically add the date/time stamp via a 2nd subtitle? Do you need to author the DVD in VS11 or can you edit your video in VS11 and use something totally different to authore the DVD?

Is this feature available in the avdanced "edit " mode, or JUST the DV-to DVD wizard?
