howto audio filter?
Hello,
On page 105 and 106 of the VS11+ User Guide applying audio filters is explained.
I follow the steps but my audio filter icon is greyed out...
What am I doing wrong?
I did not find a tutorial about audio filters on http://www.takeoneflix.com/tutorial-index/
It works OK on the sample audio clips but I want to reduce "wind" noice on my video clip... even when I split the audio the audio filter icon is greyed out.
My clip is in HD MPEG-2 and dolby digital. Do I have to split the audio, save the audio as MPEG-1/2, and put this one on the audio track instead?

The audio must be in one of the audio tracks in order to use the audio filters. So if the audio is part of your video clip you will have to split the audio first.

Sure, upload about a 1 minute clip and send me the link. This has me puzzled. I was thinking it might be the 5.1 Dolby that your Sony records the audio to, is what VS is having a problem with. I can access the audio filters on my machine, using about any audio format, so why you're not gaining access is a mystery..

This is very pleasant to see how fast you get response in this forum...
Thanks for help.
I hope 16 s is enough... because this is already 17.5 Mb !
Mpeg video sample is on http://lesbegue.free.fr/Misc/M2U01083.MPG
I use theses files directly without any conversion in VideoStudio
(440 files for 1H 24mn in my current project)
my UVS is 11.5.0157.2. Plus (French version)
Good test... and happy new year

Sorry it took me so long to get to this. I'm working on a project, and trying to do a few other things at the same time..
I did get it downloaded, and inserted into VS11+ on my Vista box. This has to do with the audio encoding your camera uses. The audio filters are grayed out, ie; not accessible with this file.
I created a wav file, Share>Create Sound File, from it (of course you loose the original 5.1) and was then able to access the audio filters.
You may want to report this to Corel Tech support. They may want a small sample to look at. Maybe they can figure something out to include in a patch, but don't hold your breath..
