PhotoImpact 10 Smart Download or the WEB

Post by aiwtd »

OK, how do I get Components for Download? I searched and searched, tried and tried, but Smart Download will not work! So I went to Ulead's web page "http://www.ulead.com/pi/esd.htm" . . . you just can't get what you need from Ulead unless your a first time customer, then you get everything! if you purchase upgrade after upgrade you go through this every time.

The only time I've been happy was when I purchased PhotoImpact 6.0 and got everything on CD "and more".

Anyone have any ideas on how get any of the following?

ftp://ftp.ulead.com/pub/esd/pi10/e/

Download everything to your HDD

Thank you for your response. I was finally able to download the files, which enabled me to use Component Designer in PI8, but not in PI10. I'll just use PI8 because I'm giving up on PI10.

I think you had downloaded a wrong version? (Download v10 but get v8?)

I mean the Component Designer, I know you have both PhotoImpact versions.

I suggest you to contact Ulead Tech Support and report the download problem.

There was only one version of the Component file, unless I'm missing something. I've tried contacting them, but I'm not getting anywhere with that.

Thanks for your responses.

I believe the Component Designer you have downloaded is for PI8. You need to get the Component Designer for PI10 again.

You can contact Ulead Tech Support via http://www.ulead.com/tech/techsupport.htm

Hope this helps.

Does Ulead need new servers?

I've tried connecting several times with no luck.

Anyone able to download anything?

I'm on a 5mbit connection, so connectivity shouldn't be the problem.

Thanks,
M

I too have experienced the problems even with PI10. I cannot access the Components.exe from either Smart Download or from the website. Apperently their FTP server is malfunctioning or those particular files are missing. I've managed to download every other file including manuals, objects, web pages and, the like all exfcept files for the Component Designer files. At least now I know its their Servers and NOT my copy of PI10.

Does anyone have these components downloaded? If so, is it possible to upload them somewhere?

If need be you can upload them to my server.

Thanks.

if you are having problems downloading, please wait a couple of minutes and then try downloading again. maybe, the servers are busy or congested.
