MF6, DVB-S recordings, Unspecified Error
I am authoring DVB-S recordings (cut by VideoReDo). I get 'Unspecified Error' right after starting to process. I think I know why. The project must have one mpeg2 file with resolution 720x576 and second file with 544x576 (or vice versa, order doesn't matter). If there's 2 files 720x576 or 2 files 544x576 everything is OK. I used MF4 and there was no problem mixing files with various resolution. "Do no convert compliant files" and "Support X-Disc" is both set.
You can try using SUPER (FREE!!!) to convert one or both of your files before loading them into Movie Factory.
I don't know what the "X-Disc" limitations are, but I have a feeling that the Support X-Disc setting is allowing the first file through, and then it doesn't know what to do when it gets the 2nd file. If the files are being joined together, obviously one or both will have to be converted.
720x576 is OK for a standard DVD if you live in a PAL country. It's not valid for NTSC video. The other one is not vaild for either format. And, I think the DBV bitrates are usually too high for DVD also. So, it may be that neither file is actually DVD compliant.

DVDDoug: No, files are not joined. They are two separate titles.
To all: Sorry but my objective is NEVER CONVERT recorded DVB-S files (they are not recorded by standalone DVD recorder, but directly by PC DVB-S card). That's why I chose Ulead Movie Factory over another programs - for its 'Support X-Disc' option. I know that thus made DVDs are not all DVD compliant, but my standalone player (Pioneer 575) plays them without any problems. Converting mpeg2 always means loss of quality or increase of length and always lots of time to process.
So I am little bit disappointed that MF6 has this bug - I think it's a bug, because MF4 is OK. So I hope, Ulead will solve this in a future patch.
