I have DVD MovieFactory 3. There are some mpg files that I can't encode and convert to DVD format. DVD MF3 just shuts down. Some othe mpg files are fine. I am also getting a pop-up window with the text "Cannot open the Volume Control" when opening the DVDPlayer that comes with MF3. I can't help but to think that if I can fix this error message, then my other problems will get resolved also.
I also tried downloading the updates for MF3 and they all ran and installed except for dmf3_patch2_dl_e.exe. It gives a prompt that MF3 isn't installed. dmf3_patch_dl_e.exe and dmf3_patch_e.exe ran and installed fine. I installed MF3 on another computer, at work, and it installed and ran fine. So I'm sure it's not the install that I have.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Okay.....
I fixed the "Cannot open the Volume Control" problem by upgrading my sound card drivers. However, I'm still having the problem with DVD MF3 crashing with some mpg files. These are mpg files of the SVCD format that I'm trying to convert and burn to DVD.
This is the details of the error message that I get:
AppName: dvdmf.exe AppVer: 3.5.0.1 ModName: mpgvout.004
ModVer: 1.2.9.15 Offset: 00025da9
I've seen the ModName error in other posts with other Ulead applications, but not in MovieFactory 3. Does anyone have a clue to why this is happening?
