Ulead dvd movie factory 6plus & Adding chapters

Post by Crys_D »

Hi,
I have a question about adding chapters. When a chapter is created for a video file it creates a mini menu for that file. Is there by any chance, a way to add chapters without having a mini menu created? for instance, (and im sure everyone already knows what im talking about but this example is just for clarification) if i create a dvd with 5 different episodes of a show on it and all 5 episodes have chapters is there a way to change the settings so that when i choose an episode, it doesnt open the episodes mini menu for chapter choice? I would like it to just start the episode right after selection.

Any response would be appreciated.

Firstly create your chapters in the usual manner - after inserting the videos into the MovieFactory project select
[Add/Edit Chapter] - this will allow your users to use the [Next] and [Previous] buttons on the DVD remote.

Now go to the DVD menu templates screen and select your chosen design of Menu from the [Gallery] tab.
Select the [Edit] tab and half way down the left side of the screen select
[Advanced Settings] click on [create Chapter menu] to REMOVE the tick on the left.

Your Main menu will now have thumbnails that take you directly to the first chapter of each of your video titles.

I have tried this...
but I can not click on the "create Chapter menu"...
What have I done wrong?
In my pictures there are lots of chapters, but I can't edit/label them...

Thanks...

wendyieann,
For slideshows you make or remove chapters in the create slideshow screen.
The icons are right above the picture(s) timeline.
These chapters don't appear on the menu.

To create one with a menu you would have to first convert your slideshow to a mpeg2 video file. Then use that video file to create chapters.
