VS 11 + for hd editing

Post by jasonmiamifl »

I downloaded the trial version of VS 11+, also bought it afterward. I want to use this program mainly for high def video editing, also make video to wmv & mov for web use purposes.

After few days of disappointments and already solved troubles one after another. But this time I have to turn to this forum for helps and myself really have no way to solve the problems and I can't go forward anymore.

I already spent a fortune to buy a new PC with Intel Pentium Core 2 duo processor with 2gb ram, also 512mb ATI Radeon HD PCI-e graphic card and sata 2 hardisks. All componets were top of the line and should be capable for hd video editings.

Now primary problem was, after I inserted the mts files onto the vs 11
video library and I composed clips for maybe about 15 minutes into the timeline. If I preview the clip one by one, video speed & sound was normal & perfect.

But if I preview all the clips from the timeline and after the first clip and
video speed became horribly slow and sound broken up, even no sound at all. If this type of problem remained and how the hell I could ever finish
a hd movie, even less than 15 minutes ??

I tried to increase Windows virtual memory to 4092mb maximum capability, also keep no any other program opened and only vs 11+.

Still no solution in sight.

Anyone has similar problem ?? and what is the solution ??

Thanks in advance for your kind help, if you really could pull me off this miserable moments.

After searched through other posts and got some hints and found the solution to this crucial problem.

Simply click preference >> playback method > instant playback .

<< It was in high resolution playback and caused the problem >>.

So if you ever having same problem as I mentioned previously and follow my hint and you solved the problem.

Thanks to other users who posted their hints and helped me to solve

In addition to the above you might benefit by using proxy files.
If you click the [?] button at the top right of the VideoStudio screen it will bring up the built in help file. Now look for Proxy Files for an explanation of what they are and how to use them.
