No.
I have run into this problem a few times where after editing something re-opening the project file throws up that error and will attempt to recover an earlier save.

What I suggest is to save the project under different names when you reach an important milestone. Try breaking your large project up into smaller more manageable parts.

I went on a two week cruise earlier this year and the first thing I did was to extract the different locations into separate project files.
So rather than having one large project "My 2 week cruise"
I had lots of smaller projects such as
"Cypruss"
"Athens"
"Dubrovnik"
and so on.

Now if I get this error I only need to redo a small smart of the overall project and not the entire movie.

Because my intended final output was a DVD Video Disc, these were later imported into DVD MovieFactory as separate titles. Although they are now all on one DVD disc, I can easily select from the DVD menu an individual location - or select the 'Play all' button.
