Cannot import from DVD

I want to use a chapter, or part of a chapter off a DVD in my VS10+ project. The chapters available are displayed, I select the one I want, and proceed to the "import" button. It is always greyed out. Mind you, this happens with homemade discs, not only commercial and presumably copy-protected ones. In other words, I cannot import from any DVD. Anyone have advice to get around this?

Ah, but did you tick the little box to the immediate left of each chapter?

Yes, when I wrote: "I select the one I want..." that meant I checked the "little box" to the left. The import button is still unusable no matter what kind of DVD.

Have you tried copying the contents of the DVD to your hard disk and then trying it from there?

That's a lot of copying: a 2 hour DVD for a minute or less of targeted footage, but I will try and let you know. Thanks.

It is possible that you may be a victim of a dll file that has affected some users.
