AVI video dropping after render

Post by longashes »

I'm using VS8 with older MPG files for most of the video. I created a 5 second ending using Cool 3D in AVI format and inserted at the end of the timeline.

When I play back the "project" via timeline, AVI file displays fine. However, when the movie is rendered and burned to DVD, it skips the AVI file and returns to the main menu.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Rich

If you have mpeg files, why are you rendering them in AVI? You just have to convert them back to Mpeg2 to create the project video file prior to burning the DVD. Read and follow the Recommended Procedure in the top post. Don't forget to set the Burn properties to match the video file.

If you have two separate videos in your project and didn't render to a new MPEG file that is the source for your DVD, make sure you haven't set your project to return to the menu after each chapter -- set it to continue to the next chapter.
