MF 4 temp folder

Every time I start MF 4/Create DVD-Video, the temp (working) folder is always restored to the ...\My Documents\Movie Factory 4\... folder. I change it under Settings/Preferences/Working Folder, and it works for the current project. However, next time I start MF, it is restored to the default. How do I set this permenently as I could with MF 3.0?

Also, I was hoping by version 4.0 that MF would clean up after itself and delete its temporary files (e. g., ~convert00x). Even after I say "no" to save the project, the temp files remain to fill up my disk.
