"Time remaining" runs backwards

I just installed a 500GB hard drive, letter H. When capturing DV files using VS10 on drives C:80GB, D:80GB, and E:300GB, time remaining subtracts. Capturing to H:, time remaining increases, with a weird time (-16:-54:-1). It has no effect on the program other than to keeping me guessing as to the real time remaining. F: and G: are DVD's.

After filling up around half the disk, time remaining says I have about 20 hours left and is working correctly.
