Can't adjust amount of time text is on screen

Post by rwalker66 »

This is for DVD MF 6+. In the edit room on the text tab it will not allow me to adjust how much time the text should appear on screen. As you can see in the screengrab below there is no time in the box and the up and down arrows are grayed out. I have no way to adjust it. Clicking all over the time symbol, grayed out box and gray arrows does nothing. What do you recommend?

Hi,

From the Edit room >> Text tab (after you added a text on the Preview panel), click the "Switch to Timeline" icon near lower left-side corner of the Storyboard/Timeline panel. When Storyboard switched to Timeline panel, click the title you have inserted to the "Text track" and the "Text duration" may now be changed. You can also use the Text track to increase or decrease the text duration of your title by dragging the yellow bar located at the end of the title bar.

have you already typed in the text within the preview area? if you have, then click the button that switches between storyboard mode and timeline mode. you should now be on the timeline mode. from this, you would see 5 tracks, video, overlay, title, music, and voice track. if you have already added a title on your video, you would see that it appears on the title track. click on it and you would now be able to edit the duration of your title
