Choppy audio from DV capture

When I capture video from a DV Camera, the sound in the captured file will drop out. When I look at the captured file in the audio editor there are sections of silence for about 1.5 frames. Somtimes they happen about 1 frame appart. Also the report says 0 dropped frames. ( Just get dropped audio!)

Same problem when i capture with movie maker.

I reloaded the PC but it didn't fix it. I have a 2.4 gigahertz core 2 duo processor with 2 GB ram. Using raid 10 sata drives.

Also I don't seem to be able to turn off the capture preview. I unselect the preview during capture, but is displays anyway.

What to do?!

Did you capture to DV-AVI type 1 or type 2? Maybe a lose connection?

Or shift the firewire card to a new slot?
