Now can't import media from DVD's?

Post by walshy »

My version of video studio seems to be coming more unstable. I now can't import DVD'd I make with my Sony video camera. I finalise them, insert them in my DVD Drive and then in VS I right click in Edit and try to import - every time my compyter locks up. I have also tried just importing the data from the DVD into a file folder and importing them from there - when I do that the video starts to play then locks and the system crashes.

Any thoughts on how I can import data from the discs without this issues would be much appreciated.

regards

Try this one:

Download the uvMPEG2.dll file from Corel's FTP address: ftp://userdl:guest@ftpph.ulead.com/down ... vMPEG2.dll If you get an error message, click OK, then right-click on the page/window and select 'Login As..' then enter the username and password. Replace the file (uvMPEG2.dll) in C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 9.0

Try to make whole copy of your DVD disc (preferably ISO or later) and save it to your local drive. Import the saved DVD copy from your local drive to VideoStudio and see if the problem still occurs. If so, you have to make sure that your computer is capable of massive use of system resources and try a clean re-installation of the software; meaning, you have to delete all traces of the program including within the registry. But be sure to do this properly or else your system will be having another problem.

It is possible that you may be a victim of a dll file that has affected some users.
