Video Studio vs. Video Studio PRO

Post by preacher_mg »

I'm considering buying Video studio. I downloaded the Video studio Pro trial version but there is no trial version for the basic version and I have a question about it.

I'm going to use the product for business video presentations on laptops, so I'm not limited to what a TV screen can show. In the "basic" version of Video Studio, can you export video files (in AVI format) in arbitrary sizes (i.e. 1024X768, or even larger) or are you limited to PAL/NTSC sizes?

Thanks in advance for answering!

I assume you mean Video Studio Plus. Compare Here. In general, the resolution settings are not restricted unless you are making a DVD. The DVD specification limits what you can put on an video-DVD. (Of course, you can burn any type of audio/video file onto a "data DVD".)

Ulead does a higher-end video editor called Media Studio Pro.
