File Paths

I created a picture show a while back and since then I've re-installed windows XP and all my data is back on the hard drive. Problem is that when I re-installed XP I used a different user name the therefore a different path to my data files. Now every time I try to load a picture show (DPS file) it comes up with a list of picture files and music file that it can't find. This makes perfect since because the paths have changed. So my question is how to I point Picture Show to the correct path?

I don't have this app but the other Ulead apps have a relink option when it can't find the files, possibly not included in your app?

This may or may not work....but it should and if it does will be pretty much effortless

. Make a copy of one of your project files and remane the extension .dps to .txt . Open it with notepad...yes notepad

. If you puruse the file you should see the file paths, from the file bar select edit>replace. Insert the old file path in the find spot and type in whatever you want to change it to. Click replace all, save and rename back to .dps.

thecoalman, Thanks. That was a big help. Couldn't change all the paths using notebook but at least I was able to see exactly what path it was looking for. I find it hard to believe that Ulead dosen't have way to change the path in the program. so now I have to basicly create the path on my computer to make the program happy.

Well, tried to duplicate the paths and it still didn't work. What a pain!!!
