VS 9 won't eject disk after DVD Complete
I need some help please.
Everything seems to be working fine in VS9. After Completeing Creating DVD I get that it is 100% complete.
Problem- disk won't eject. The Program seems to hang up. The drive still continues to run even when you do a control Alt Delete to end program.
I've had to resort to shuting down computer in order to get disk out.
Disk plays on DVD player just fine.
Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should try to do to correct problem?
Thanks

Hi Toad,
I am having the same problem with VS10, but the program does not always lock up, but I find I can't eject the DVD disk on completion and have to restart the computer before I can eject it.
I find it also happens some times in the editing stage if I import music from a CD, and find I can't eject the CD.

Hmmm... I was thinking a SATA DVD burner issue, but since you said that it works fine with other programs... i dropped the idea and left me with nothing.
one last question, do you wait until 10 secs before you hit ctrl+alt+del? some drives, for some unknown reason, even with super capable system, still lags for about 10 seconds - 20 seconds -- this usually happens with Plextor SATA.

Another possiblity is that the Sonic software, on installation, has decided it is to be the king of the DVD drive.
This especially occurs if you have their "Drag to Disc/ Drive Letter Access" feature enabled in the system tray.
Most times it results in an inability for other programs to access the drive at all.
It may be worth a try to disable this feature in the system tray whenever you are using another program that needs to access the DVD drive.

disk lock up
Hi
Just read your post. I'm not having any trouble with the drive in other programs either.
Still lost as to what's going on.
I've waited as long as 2 minutes before hitting ctrl+alt+del and still nothing.
Thanks for the idea hate having to re-boot.
