HOW TO CREATE SCROLLING TEXT - VS 11 PLUS
I am trying to create scrolling text as an overlay (or anyway it will work) so I have a list of names scrolling over (vertically) a bunch of pictures. I'm making a video by the way... I can't figure out how to do this using the title option or the overlay option... Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!
HOW TO CREATE SCROLLING TEXT - VS 11 PLUS
1. Click the ¡§Title¡¨ tab of VideoStudio.
2. Double-click anywhere on the Preview panel to add a title.
3. Type the desired texts line by line inside the title.
4. From the "Edit" tab, if "Multiple titles" is enabled, use the ¡§Text Alignment¡¨ to align the title on the center of the screen. If "Single title" is enabled, it automatically aligns the title on the center of the screen.
5. Click the ¡§Animation¡¨ tab and select the ¡§Fly¡¨ type on the drop-down list.
6. Select the ¡§Customize animation attributes¡¨ icon right beside ¡§Type¡¨ drop-down list.
7. ¡§Fly Animation¡¨ window will pop-up and then set the attributes to the following: Start unit >> Text, End unit >> Text, Pause >> No Pause, Enter >> Up, and Exit >> Up.
8. Click OK and test your project.

You mean like the end credits?
Here is how it's done...
1. Run VideoStudio, go to Edit stage then import an image clip in the main timeline.
2. Select Title tab, input lines of texts in the Preview screen.
3. Click the Animation tab in the Options Panel. Check the Apply Animation then select Fly option in the drop down options.
4. Select the scrolling that you want for your title and preview the project.

Sounds good and it works, but I have LOTS of text and many lines of credits. I cannot find a way to type all the lines in. I can keep typing but cannot see what I am typing as they are way below the bottom of the text box. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You can type it all in, say, Word then copy and paste it to VS.
If you don't want to do that then you'll just have to "grab" the text box and move it so you can see the text as you type.

Actually, after days of trying to import 3 A4 pages of credits, using Fly rolling credits, I am becoming increasingly unhappy. With just the credits rolling, and nothing else in the Timeline, VS10+ memory use has shot up to 1.1GB, so nothing much happens on my 750MB memory system. Anyone know what is happening?. Thanks

Just from vague and often failing memory I seem to recall what you describe as a recognised bug. I remember someone else had it and it was reproduced at Corel. I think the word was it will be fixed in the first update but who knows when that will happen.
The only thing I can suggest is to ruthlessly shutdown everything you can that is unnecessary on the computer for editing.
